Exceptionally Clear Picture
Building upon the solid foundation of its predecessor, Supernet 488 boasts exceptional picture clarity on large high definition LCD or Plasma TVs when connected to its components (YPbPr) video output.
Highly Compatible
Highly compatible with all types of TVs it may be connected via RF, RGB or components or all at once. The Display mode is backwards compatible and can switch easily between the traditional 4:3 screen ratio as well as the now most common 16:9 for wide screen TVs.
Genuine Irdeto
Perhaps the most stunning feature is that the Supernet 488 features a Genuine (NOT emulated) Irdeto Common Access module. This allows it to take ALL versions of smartcards for the IRDETO system.
The card reader also has card protection circuitry which lowers the operating voltage from 7V (typical of emulated IRDETO and old HUMAX boxes) to 5V. This allows the card to operate for prolonged periods without heating up and burning out.
Box to Box Channel Update
It is usually very annoying when you have spent hours searching and arranging your channel list and someone accidentally discovers the "clear all channels" function.
However, using only a common RS232 cable you can copy all the channels back into the box from the Supernet 488 that you happen have in the bedroom. It is also handy when the channel transponder frequency changes.
